We are considering bidding as a prime contractor or quoting as a subcontractor in the upcoming Wisconsin Department of Transportation Construction Bid Letting. If you are interested in submitting quotes as a supplier or subcontractor, please contact us. Norcon would be happy to assist you in preparing your bid.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) has established a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program by regulations of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), 49 CFR Part 26. The WisDOT receives federal financial assistance from the United States Department of Transportation. As a condition of receiving this assistance, WisDOT requires that a percentage of each contract with DOT funding be contracted with DBE firms.
We are strongly encouraging you to utilize DBEs in your quote. This can be accomplished through purchasing materials from DBE suppliers, utilizing DBE subcontractors, trucking, etc. Your quote may be evaluated on a combination of both the lowest cost and the amount of DBE participation you can provide, as well as being low. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
For more information on the DBE program, please visit the Wisconsin DOT’s DBE Program page.
